Zooming in would be possible oif the impaled lizard is somewhere in the background. If the shot is centered on this that'll be difficult. But seriously, WHERE is that scene? I hate animal cruelty and usually go up in flames when I see it but I watched DR without noticing any lizard scene. Could you give me a timecode so I can check on the German DVD. Maybe I get a nice idea of how to handle the shot properly without having to cut it out.

I saw go old-school with a brief "Missing Reel" screen card! Ha.

With 'PHILLEH' zooming in and out...

I'm up for it!

Haha, personally I think that's a fantastic idea and would receive no backlash at all... ahem...

Make it happen, Almar!

Altering it slightly or zooming in is preferable to removing the scene imo. The question is, what sort of altering would be done?

You could alter the image so the lizard looks like a ball of cotton wool

According to Rewind/DVDC this release should be cut as all the others?
Rewind @ www.dvdcompare.net - Deep Red AKA Profondo Rosso AKA Hatchet Murders (The) AKA Dripping Deep Red AKA Sabre Tooth Tiger (The) (1975)

Playzocker:
Actually, I don't remember it either.

Philleh:
The idea of a "missing reel" screen card is a cool idea, and preferable to just cutting it out! Hehe.

How about a violent anime reconstruction insert with a huge fountain of gushing blood coming out of the lizard as it's impaled with a samurai sword?

Forget the time, but it's right where David Hemmings goes to see the guy about the house. He sends the daughter with him after giving her a slap for impaling the lizard.

Number 3!

I've got to say, I don't like the idea of a 'missing reel' card at all.
