Default Deep Red - The Reviews

Received ny DEEP RED blu ray yesterday, the usual great packaging from Arrow and of course a very nice disc to add to my Argento collection
But.....my one criticism is the English subs don't automatically come on when Italain language is played on directors cut, so I have to keep using my remote
tp press subs button..................why not?
Couldn't Arrow of done something about this?
No trouble on my Blue Underground and AWE dvds

This is an excellent release, you can't please everyone. Top marks to Arrow for getting this classic out there. In the 4 years I have been reading about DVD releases there are some labels that seem beyond criticism, but Arrow's are way up there. Keep up the good work!
ps
I am really looking forward to the other Arrow Argento releases!

Can't you go in the setup menu before you start the film?

Hi James. I didn't have this problem at all. The subs automatically come on on my player when I play the Italian languge track. however, I will say that I have the exact same problem with my US release of Run Lola Run. On my Sony player, I need to trun the subs on, but on my cheap region free player, the subs come on autmatically. Very strange.

I just pressed play in the menu and got the Italian version with subs (during the whole film).
What kind of player do you have?

That's strange...I get them during the Italian parts.

Do you have the latest firmware installed?
