This announcement says it's NTSC and, as it's probably from an American master, that does away with any NTSC-to-PAL problems.

I agree and that's why i'm grabbing the U.S. BR release sooner or later. There's no way i'm wasting time waiting for any potential U.K. HD variant if there's ever the possibility of one.

However, i'll still be buying Arrow's DVD edition despite already owning the superb Synapse Films SD release. I must confess i don't like the former's cover though bar the film's title lettering and yours truly much prefers the American artwork by Wes Benscoter.

You said it and TDS is a pitch-perfect example of filmmaker resourcefulness and enthusiasm shining through on a less-than low-budget. A superb slippery slice of sci-fi 'n' splatter on a shoestring.

TDS now pre-ordered from Amazon by yours truly.

I've got the Synapse DVD which does me fine for this film.I wouldn't buy it again on either DVD or BD, it's simply not good enough to warrant forking out for again in my personal opinion.

This flick is hilarious, I own the Vipco vhs of it.

Looks like another solid release.

Must admit, the fact that there's a Region A Blu-ray coming out has me hesitating on this, in hope there's a UK one in the pipeline. Mind you, that might change once the verdict is in on how the Region A looks.

If you've seen the previous synapse release then you'll know the source materials are there for a fantastic hi-def release.
