The House By The Cemetery (Blu-ray)

Bad news guys! Arrow have just informed us that House By The Cemetery has been delayed slightly to the 21st of May, due to Printer problems. As such, since it's the slipcases that have been causing the problems, the Dual Format Edition of this title will be released as scheduled (May 7th)

It may sound very superficial, but the clear cases are the tipping point for me, they go better with the minimal, clean, white look of the Arrow Video template, and give the collection a touch of class. They'll also look pretty nice on my shelves bridging the gap between my Arrow Video Limited collection and my Eureka collection.

We asked Arrow about this to which they had this to say:

All future Dual Format releases will have clear cases. We are also changing the blu-ray only releases to clear cases after this was aptly suggested by a Cult Labs member. As such future pressing of the single and 3 disc Battle Royale and Caligula will be packed in clear cases. This will ensure that all the cases match going forward. House by the Cemetery Limited Edition slipbox will be packed in a blue case like all the previous Arrow Video slipbox versions.

I just somehow knew this was going to happen.
Boy am i pissed now!
I don't blame Arrow though, not their fault at all, these things happen but how is it that the printers, whomever they are?, are messing up so many sought after titles, one after the other...

Tbh, this is the first time i've heard that the dual format one was coming out too!

I think I just buried the information somewhere in my brain as I was only expecting the 'usual' release with a slipcase, booklet and all the other bells and whistles!

Ohhh such a feeling of dread reading that delay post, but then hearing the Dual Format one is still on track for Monday ! Since the individual Demons releases were delayed I've been especially looking forward to this. I did suspect that this would be delayed too, but I'm happy it won't effect my first Arrow Dual Format release

Good news on case front too. Blue is wearing increasingly thin on me.

But will this have identical PQ to the American blu-ray?

I have held off buying the American one just to get news if the Arrow one have the same (or even better) PQ.

Screw it, I can't wait another few weeks to own HBTC, so in addition to the Limited Edition, I caved, and just ordered the Unlimited version too!

Can i just ask about the subtitles. Are the English subs on the Italian track, subs for the hard of hearing or just normal. I believe that the Blue Underground version of this only had English hard of hearing subs which can be a little annoying sometimes with the on screen sound effects. (obviously not if your actually hard of hearing!!..not wishing to offend anyone)
