Razor Blade Smile ( Jake West, 1998 )

After being shot during a pistol duel 19th century noble woman Lilith Silver ( Eileen Daly ) is resurrected by vampire Sethaine Blake ( Chris Adamson ) and spends the centuries as a hired killer. Her recent hits have involved a sect called the Illuminati who - led by Blake - are understandably concerned and set out to put a stop to Lilith's antics.

Here's something weird; a modern (ish ) British film that is actually quite good! Director West has managed - for next to nothing - a fast, gory, funny horror movie that makes a welcome change from the usual brit cinema of Jane Austen adaptations and mockney gangster porn. Admittedly it is very silly and the acting ( not Daly but more on her in a minute ) not that great but West keeps things going at such a pace that you don’t even care.

Despite what some critics say the sexy Daly ( best known as the face of Redemption ) does quite well in the role weather its flashing her fangs to the camera, having some gratuitous sex or running around in that rubber cat suit.... oops i just drooled on the keyboard! Where am i? oh yes Daly! she does well in her role and adds to the entertainment value. The only problem i have with the film is the ending which i won’t spoil for you but left me feeling a bit cheated.

Anyway RBS is a entertaining little movie that deserves to be seen.
