Just this very minute picked up a very nice looking pb copy of the Dover edition of Supernatural Horror In Literature by HPL. Result!! Library sale etc.

James Herbert was possibly my favourite contemporary horror author. Unlike King he didn't have to create a work the size of a small house with each novel, he just got on with the story.
