I recognise the cover, so I think I may have seen it in the library before

I'm reading This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously, Dude, Don't touch it! the sequel to the excellent John Dies at the End. It's a great read; both funny and creepy, and David Wong is a terrific writer with a vivid imagination.

I've just been looking at the Kabbalah Centre site, the organisation Madonna belongs to. You can buy some red string to ward off the Evil Eye for the bargain price of $26.00. They seem to have stopped selling their cancer curing bottled spring water for $400 a go. I wonder why.

Default HP Lovecraft - The Shadow Over Innsmouth

HP Lovecraft - The Shadow Over Innsmouth

I know its cheating listening to an audio book but the police tend to frown upon reading while doing ton up the M4,bloody fascists.Anyhow really enjoyed it I know they have to cut bits out for time but at nearly 2 1/2 hrs I felt it must of covered most of the story,it was read by Richard Coyle for BBc Radio 4 extra, any how I enjoyed it.

Impressively heavy Dude... let us know how these go.

Currently reading You Never Give Me Your Money: The Battle for the Soul of The Beatles, and I'm reminded of some words of wisdom from Bryan Brown in Cocktail - Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end. Peter Doggett's book describes in sometimes agonizing detail the demise of The Beatles and along the way, the huge wastage of money that was Apple Corps. Compelling and depressing in equal measure...
