You'll have to shoot me too as I actually watched the entire series of Poldark that was on BBC recently.

It's piss, but a very good friend of mine had a minor role in it so I watched it for him and to play 'spot the friend'.

Saw it also, wasn't great but I'd buy it if I found it cheap!

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland

I had seen the Walt Disney animated film of this and the strange Tim Burton version, but I had never read the actual book they were based on.

I don't need to explain the storyline as you all know the story off by heart. So this review will be my thoughts on the books.

The story wasn't I imagined it to be written. Alice's Adventures were written in an old style of words and with it came Alice talking to herself and most of her talk was shit. She spoke nonesense and I didn't like it because it sounded and read strange.

So I won't be in a hurry to re-read this classic

Burn the heretic!!!

Ahem. Rereading The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester. I prefer this to The Demolished Man, as Gully Foyle is a genuine anti-hero.

Also just finished Vurt by Jeff Noon, suckered in by the "more PKD than PKD" blurb on the back. Manc cyberpunk with a whiff of Palmer Eldritch methinks!! Twas only a £ in Tesco! HB!

I'm surprised. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass (did you read that one as well?) are two of the most imaginative and wonderfully written works of nonsense in the history of literature!

At the moment, I'm about halfway through Doomed by Chuck Palahniuk. It's a wonderfully sick and twisted sequel to the equally brilliant Damned.

I haven't read Through The Looking Glass yet, everything I have read I review at Goodreads.

At the minute I am reading A LION'S TALE: AROUND THE WORLD IN SPANDEX
by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho
