I wasn't hugely impressed with The Scarlet Gospels myself either, it starts off promising but quickly descends into tedium and cliche and I was wishing it to end by about two thirds in I read it all though, I'm not one to give up on a book.

I really need to get back into my reading again. Aside from skimming some reference books I read about 4 books last year.

This could very easily have been my answer as well. I'm always skimming reference books though. Especially on film and tv.

This is for Nos, as well as collecting Studio Ghibli I also collect Roald Dahl books and I've been collecting this specific line of hardbacks published in 2012, which are unfortunately out of print now, I still need to buy 3 titles which are Dirty Beasts, The Magic Finger and The Enormous Crocodile.

They look superb. When I was younger, The Magic Finger and The Enormous Crocodile were read to me repeatedly before I could read them for myself.
