I haven't had a good look at them yet, Hawk, I only picked 'em up this afternoon and had a quick skim through the Summer Special but it does look jolly good, doesn't it? Some fantastic dark artwork on "Durham Red" and exceptionally good, clean lines on "Rogue Trooper", I'm also lovin' the cover of Prog 1883, sweet!

Actually, I never thought of it before, but Judge Dredd must have a heavily limited eyesight through his helmet (especially when it is drawn by Ezquerra). Why would you give the perfect law-enforcer a helmet that limits his sight?

Apparently it's one way glass, or so Carlos's original scketches suggested. I don't thinks it's been properly addressed.

I s'pose it could be like the advertising on bus windows now, opaque from outside and transparent from inside. This would mean that a Judge could see perfectly well through the entire front screen whilst still preserving an anonymous facade, ideal for dispencing Justice.

As a lover of comic book adaptions for large or small screen I was thrilled when I saw this:

Who else thinks that this has the potential to campletely paint over the casting of Mr. K. Reeves in the movie?

2000AD prog 1884: Indigo Prime is kicking all kinds of arse. I seriously love it, best thrill since the end of Dante IMHO.

The Maxx #8: Finale to the Pitt team up. Wierd even by Maxx standards.

Big Trouble in Little China #1: The comic book sequal to one my favourite Carpenter movie's, written by the man himself and ERIC POWELL!!!!!

Ordinary #1: This was published during the time I was absent from the megazine so i'm glad Titan are reprinting it.

Weekly Shonen Jump #27: HunterXHunter is VERY intruiging. Likeing the look of it very much. And we bid farewell to All You Need is Kill. It's been an amazing series, and i'll miss it very much. But YAY! One-Punch Man's back!

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure v.2+3: WTF IS THIS SERIES EVEN ON!!!!???? POT?!

Different cover, but picked up "The Joker: Death of the Family" today. About a quarter in so far, but enjoying it. First DC publication I've ever read, actually. Always been strictly Marvel when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Always knew that Howdy Doody-alike, Jimmy Olsen was up to something but I thought it might have been sniffing Lois Lane's bike saddle!

Loved the "taxidermy" display in the first episode of "Indigo Prime" it was as inventive as the series has ever been. Judge Dredd is looking great too with some of the most sumptuous artwork for years. Also worth a mention each are "Slaine" and "Grey Area"; "Slaine" looks for all the world like 'freeze-frames' of some outlandish action film, "Grey Area" taking, and running with, an idea from a previous story arc which could prove great.

I'm a slut when it comes to comics and I'll read almost anything with sequential artwork (Bayeux Tapestry as a trade paperback anyone?) Lately I've been on a bit of a "Batman Bender" and I'm currently halfway through the "No Man's Land" series. If I might recommend some "Batty" stuff for you: the "Arkham Unhinged" title (currently #58 digital) is now being released as GNs and also published in Britain by Titan Comics (only on about issue 4), also look for "Batman: The Killing Joke" beautifully written by the great Alan Moore with art by the equally great Brian Bolland.

It's a must see for any Batman/Joker fan.
