Anyone remember the great Night of the Living Dead series from the early 90's - full of amazing and creepy expressionist artwork, and are well worth seeking out...

The only Dredd crossover I haven't read. It's like gold dust at the moment so i'm holding out for a re-print. I got the Judge Dredd/ Batman collection the other day. I'll post some scanlations of all four Batman team up's and the vs. Lobo story later today.

Saucer Country was written by Paul Cornell who wrote several Doctor Who novels for the Virgin New Adventures book range and also wrote the David Tennant episodes Human Nature / Family of Blood based on his novel Human Nature.

They were actually. Vastly different to the norm. Set during the first World War, the Doctor was a teacher at an exclusive boys school, Martha was a servant / school nurse. The catch being the Doctor was a human in the story who falls in love with fellow teacher Jessica Hynes (from the brilliant Spaced). His Timelord essence was being kept in a pocket watch to prevent him being tracked down by the Family of Blood. The story idea with the pocket watch hiding a Time Lords essence was a prelude to the retirn of the Master in the series final three episodes. Great killer scarecrows as well, not to mention creepy public schoolboys. |
