Well the patience of everyone is very much appreciated. One of the problems with small labels is you can't risk making lots of stock upfront and that's caused a knock-on.

Curious about the problems with tinboxes!
Hi I am Denis from Sweden. I just joined this cool forum! I have bought a set of this cool Bronx trilogy box set! I have red in previous threads that some boxes have broke because of some strange reasons? Is it the hinges on side of the box that breaks or what? I haven't torned off the seal yet, so I haven't watched my dvd's I don't know anything about these problems that occurs on our tin boxes! Please explain to me! Any problems with the disc playback on these dvd's? Bad sound? Bad picture? I have looked on my box and on both sides above the 18 years logo it says SHAM021. Does this mean I have the no.21 box out of 10 million copies? An early edition SHAM021 is good for quality reasons, am I correct? When was these problems starting to occur with those boxes? At what serial number! Late edition numbers? Thanx

I haven't heard of any problems with the tins breaking bronx ratnik. Shameless have already released 20 other dvds with the spine numbers 1-20 so the bronx tin is number 21.When you open the tin you will see that the 3discs are numbered 21.1,21.2 and 21.3 so i'm afraid you haven't got a low number limited edition.Thye are all the same.

Hey buddy thanks for the update! So my hapiness about the low number on the box is just a waste of energy, is that what you're saying? So these boxes won't be so exclusive by the numbers then? A false limited edition numbers! I red somewhere (74 pages) here that these boxes are going to be made in Serbia former Yugoslavia by a new tin box manufacturer! Is this true? Is it only the boxes going to be made in Serbia? Not the dvd's too? Somebody meantioned a Chinese sweatshop in a previous reply Bronx Ratnik in Serbian means Bronx Warrior! Yeah! Thanxs for the infou buddy

These tins that are going to be made in a Serbian gangsta factory Is it because of the problems with tins or what? Somebody on this forum wrote about bad quality tins? That some buyers recieved broken boxes or they broke when they were opened? I also red that the sound quality was a lot low sounding, people had to crank up the volume to hear anything from one of the dvd's? Was this the only problem with this boxset? Other than that the dvd's are flawless in playback? And so is the box? Cheers mate!

Not sure why the tins are being made in serbia now.A few of the tins i saw in a shop were a little damaged but it could have been that they were knocked around in that shop or when they were being delivered,i don't really know but it seems that most people are finding them in perfect condition in the shops. The sound volume on The Bornx Warriors was a little low but not enough that it would stop you enjoying the film.As other people have said, you just have to turn it up a little more.Other than that, the set is great.

I will wear and tear one box and keep the other one sealed for future increase in value! HMV.COM still don't have any in stock? Are they going to give a bonus or something else for the waiting mass crowd prebooked buyers?

It's not HMVs fault. The demand has been high for the sets and the people that preordered the set from their site won't have been charged yet so i'm afraid it will just be a case of waiting until they get get more stock.

The factory that originally made the plates for pressing them broke the plates. That's why they're offski to Serbia..... I've also not heard of anyone complaining of broken or damaged tins either. There's nothing wrong with mine.... Back to the films themselves. Kim Newman in this month's EMPIRE wrote.... 'Society collapsed often in the '80's.as seen in three widescreen action epics set in the futuristic 1990s from Italian schlockmeister Enzo G Castellari:THE BRONX WARRIORS (which features a street-gang Broadway chorus),the sequel ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX (which more or less admits the whole thing is The Warriors and Escape from New York in a blender) and THE NEW BARBARIANS (futuristic troublemakers skirmish in souped-up cars around a rubbish dump outside Rome).Admired for action and weird homoerotic machismo, these films suffer from plank-like heroes, but have grizzled veterans like Fred Williamson and Vic Morrow to compensate.' Great to see a Shameless release finally getting a plug in the likes of Empire. It's just a pity they showed the r1 dvd cover of The New Barbarians.... However,as they say,Rome wasn't built in a day.....
