I know it was an '18', but it looks like 'A Company Of Wolves' was unrated when it premiered at The Odeon in Leicester Square in September 1984 !!


Would a film be allowed a cinema advert nowadays if it didn't carry a certification?

I guess it was a sticker job rather than a certificate on the poster itself for the premier as the film was rated 18 in 1984 for cinema release.

I think new films can play festivals without a certification but not an actual national cinema release.

That's what I though, but I *think* that festivals (or cinema clubs) have to get a special license to show things that are either 'unrated' or waiting for an official certificate
