Quote Almar:
Add to that a lot of them are real curios you'd struggle to get them stocked and sell enough copies.

Surely that is the case with all the tiltes released so far?

btw: will you get annoyed if i keep suggesting titles from their web page?

No suggest away from Surf - at least there's a good inroad there and yes there are a few curios from there now released but the more hardcore you go the more the sales get teenier.

Surf have a great catalog.

If you are unsure about what to release would it be possible to do a poll? That way you know what film will have better sales.

The complication is that each film can come with a whole range of issues which you don't know until you start rooting about which can take an age - look how long Footprints took. To that end a poll is somewhat hobbled because you're voting for stuff that may never happen.

I think work up titles that would be of interest then we can do some basic checking and then get to poll stage is how it could work.

Sorry, i should have said a poll for films that you know you can put out.

It might have sounded like an odd suggestion but a least you would know which film would have a better chance in the market.

Nothing odd about it - it's a fine idea - the stumbling block is Italian film catalogues are very odd!

A lot of them aren't even that bothered about selling film rights - they do TV deals for a lot of money - DVDs etc can just be an inconvenience and they can charge sill money for films that just won't sell enough even to break even.

I guess thats why we dont really see many italian exploitation films in the uk market. With what you are saying and bbfc fees it just doesnt make financial sense.

Sadly it's often true - hence why shedloads of feedback helps - it dislodged the likes of Footprints from never happening.
