That's probably why I didn't like it when I saw it years ago. I even felt nauseous when watching the newly released BD of I Drink Your Blood this week when the chicken is killed, and not particularly quickly either, at the beginning.

"THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS WARDH - RELEASE UPDATE

We’ve had to slightly push back our Blu-ray release of THE STRANGE VICE OF MRS WARDH. We’re very sorry for the hold up, there’s been a slight delay on the production side of things. The Blu-ray will now be shipping from our store on 17 July and will be available from retailers on 31 July"
