Oh, I only noticed you keep mentioning PS3 is all. I'll need to get some gamertags, as it would be nice to play online with the shameless folk.

I just use the PS3 the most mate.
I had a 360 from launch but it red ringed so its been only reciently I bought another.
My Tag's vipco on both machines but I havent got the 360 connected to the internet yet.

As far as I know, iluvdvds, Halloween, Trench among others use 360 .

Noss, can I not unhook the PS3 from the modem and hook up the 360 now & again.?

Yeah, that should be ok. It's configured the same way as the PS3.

I use the PS2 and Wii at the moment though I'm not the biggest gamer around. I grew up addicted to stuff like the Amstrad CPC, NES, SNES and PlayStation. I did buy a Megadrive, a Saturn and an N64 but could never warm to them. The problem with games nowadays is they're too complex and demand a lot of time and attention. It seems hard now to find games where you can just have a quick half an hour on and as a result my most played games are the PES ones. As I've got older (from 16 onwards) I've found myself having less and less time for gaming though I do sometimes tend to get immersed in the odd one like the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games.

I've been ill with flu recently so with film watching on the hold - and the pile getting bigger by the day - I've spent this weekend going through some PS2 games I've bought in 4 for £10 deals but haven't got round to playing yet. I'm currently working my way through the Taito and Midway collection sets. One thing I can't grumble about is not getting me money's worth. These sets are PACKED with games and some are bringing back a lot of memories.

Now if only they'll release the old Simpsons arcade game onto disc. That game was seriously addictive. The amount of pocket money I wasted on it :D.

MAME is your friend.

MAME is great.

I still play the old MAME 32 disc (over 200 original games built in) and it's terrific retro fun.

Worked fine Noss, cheers.

Actually that idea of mine to just change the cable from one machine to another wasn't to good afterall.

Without going into details, after I unhooked the 360 it would only play discs i'd played and saved online.
I had to delete everything and reformat the HDD.
What a balls up, plus im now stuck with the new menu system with the horrible Wii style Avatars.
Lovely.

Did it do an auto update as soon as you hooked it up?
