No just standard google and problems started few weeks ago maybe even a month. It just seems so slow and should be very quick. Can't play any videos either

So only internet explorer then.
All sites are loading slow and you can't play videos?
How long have you been using the computer?

Yes, all sites mega slow and videos a no go. They say that we need to download latest adobe player which I have but doesn't seem to register. Been using computer for 4-5 years I think

Sounds like a problem with internet explorer and Flash player.

Have you ever deleted your temporary files in IE?

Try deleting them and see if pages load faster.
Don't delete cookies (login info is stored there for certain sites if you need them)

I don't know what your version of IE is but this is how it's done for 9:

I think you're using 8 (unless you updated/upgraded?)
