OK...let's try something else then.

First the flash player...go here and look at the version displayer and note it down.

Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

"Flash Player information

If Flash Player is installed on your computer, the following box displays the version of Flash Player and your operating system. If Flash Player is not installed, an error message appears."

Then come back here, don't do anything yet.

Uninstall it then (follow the instructions on that page),you don't need to install it again for now.

Also try to find out which version of internet explorer you are using.

Since you already tried installing the latest flashplayer maybe it's best to go with the uninstaller.

IE 9?
Strange...try re-installing it without uninstalling.

download the newest version of ie (you don't need to uninstall the old one):

Attention uncheck the box below the download link( I would also like Bing and MSN defaults ) if you don't want them.

Internet Explorer - Microsoft Windows

Then after ie is installed, install the latest flashplayer:

Attention uncheck the box above the download link (install Google Chrome) if you don't want it.

Adobe Flash Player - Downloads
