I am using the latest version I have been informed. I have disabled Bing Bar as I had that enabled as well. Not sure what to do next to check that my speed is where it should be or to sort the video thing

Well maybe try installing Firefox to see if it's faster.
You could import your settings and boomarks from IE to Firefox so you won't loose anything really.

Btw is your hard drive (almost) full?
And are other programs also slower?

Where do I check my hardrive space again? I will check that first and then download Firefox.

"Computer" should show your hard drives.
It's in your start menu somewhere.

If your drives are (almost) full it could cause slowing down as well.

I would try Firefox and see how it loads pages.
If it's faster the problem is IE.

You could then try re-installing flash player.
