Lots of work to come with a computer of a co-worker's dad to fix up and my newly swapped laptop to install...still waiting for my ssd to arrive from Amazon though.

I hope there won't be too many problems installing the laptop,will put up some updates if I have time.

Ssd arrived this morning.
Got a day off work so will try to install today.

Really want to get an SSD, but I'm not sure whether I can fit it into my current case. My graphics card also covers some of my SATA connectors, so it might prove tricky.

Already got an "can not set temp path to work in" error at the beginning of the install...on rebooting I got "bootmngr missing"...sigh...

Fiddled around a bit...don't ask what I did because I don't know myself but I tried again and now it started installing!

They're really small and light so you should be able to find some space.

Configuring Windows 7 now...still need to load the Asus provided drivers and programs (selection) though....

Windows 7 installed...now changing settings specifically for the ssd (for example no auto defrag).

First snap,getting ready to install drivers (obviously my graphics card is not yet installed here).

Also noticed W7 SP1 is not included,update will fix that soon I guess.

Basic install finished (just some small tweaks to do and of course install all updates and the programs I want).
