Please forgive my overt gayness, but these are my last 2 purchases, John Waters' one man show This Filthy World and Before Stonewall a documentary about gay and lesbian rights and how a riot in NYC in 1969 changed everything!

Your charity shop seems even better than your car boot stall Trebor.

Smash Cut in HD from Shriek Show.

Frankenhooker 9th July 2015 04:46 PM

Took a walk to FOPP, via a few pubs, and picked up the following.

Contraband - One of the only Fulci's I haven't seen. Could do without the 'Lenticular' cover, but the reverse is decent.

Breaking The Waves - Seen this plenty of times, but a conversation on here piqued my interest again.

The Marriage Of Maria Braun - My favourite from Fassbinder, and actually one of my favourite films, I just never got around to buying it until now.

Doberman - I've never seen this, but it was racked up with the other Second Sight films and had Monica Bellucci on the cover. Cost £3.

The Man Who Fell To Earth - Another film I love, but didn't own

Southern Comfort - Seen it just the once, only cost £3

Edit - A heads up to those in or near Bristol, HEAD are selling the Second Sight release of Possession for £1.50. They had about five copies this afternoon.

Two more for the Shameless shelf, only need 3 more to complete the numbered spine editions (Although 'The 10th Victim' dosen't seem to be one of these due to it being a 'dual format')

I think its a cool movie, very of its time when interactive video games were just surfacing, written by the Andrew Kevin Walker who wrote Se7en among others :screenpunch:

Vipp 9th July 2015 08:54 PM

I always had a soft spot for Brainscan, i picked it up in the poundshop many years ago, it's got Edward Furlong in it and he isn't a terrible actor either.

If i may butt in.

I think Stephen is just showing both sides of the artwork. If you look closely they are both from the same company.

Demdike@Cult Labs 9th July 2015 11:14 PM

Sorry Stephen.

You got in there seconds before me.

I didn't know if you were still around to comment seeing as the OP was from earlier in the evening.

profondo rosso 9th July 2015 11:18 PM

Thanks guys, what got me wondering was looking on Amazon uk and .de and seeing different versions, different running times and some claiming uncut, being the fussy bunch we are, thought you may of had the uncut one.

It's probably the same version as was on the early Mill Creek 50 movie sets.

Most likely. Intrigued by the documentary and frankly its unlikely that the films going to get a decent release any time soon as its apparantly locked in some legal limbo along with a lot of Tyburn Film Productions

Picked up these three in a charity shop this morning.

£3.75 in total. No particular bargains but i've always fancied giving Grey's and Mad Dogs a watch. Battle Tanker is probably shite.
