I'd like to draw your attention to the two feature-length documentaries that come with both the Blu-ray and DVD versions of the respective film:

- Antropophagous: "42nd Street Memories: The Rise and Fall of America's Most Notorious Block!" (78 min.)
- Zombi Holocaust: "Eaten Alive! The Rise and Fall of the Italian Cannibal Film" (81 min.)

There you go Stephen-2nd class Royal Mail is faster to Germany than Irvine!;)

Seriously considering getting a new (3d) tv in the sales as my current unit is getting older and I need a flatscreen for the living room as well (still an old big set in there).

SAMSUNG UE32H6200 at 399 Euro (free ship)

Also seems to be an interesting media player btw.

It has active 3d.

My current tv is also 32" btw.

Any thoughts? ;)

Go bigger than 32", You may regret it if you don't.

bdc 14th July 2015 09:52 PM

It's at the foot end of my bed Dem so viewing distance is small. ;)

Henry Steelbook arrived today from Zavvi. Is the film meant to be in 1.33:1?

Boo Radley 15th July 2015 07:07 PM

From what I remember that is the ratio it was filmed in. Thanks for the heads up, I just bought a copy. :)

J Harker 15th July 2015 07:08 PM

No worries Boo. Was a blind buy so I'm hoping i might get to watch it later.

My all time serial killer film fave!! I think it has a lot to do with time and place but I rate it highly. Love to know what you think after you see it!

Rik 15th July 2015 07:18 PM

Yeah, great film. I'm tempted to buy it if it's a decent upgrade

J Harker 15th July 2015 08:05 PM

Can't speak for the quality as I've never seen it before but these are the extras Rik

Rik 15th July 2015 08:09 PM

Cheers, I'll have to dig out my DVD and see if there's anything new there :)

J Harker 15th July 2015 08:12 PM

The write up on Zavvi suggests that this is the first time it has been released in its entirety but Zavvi can sometimes be a bit like Amazon with their product write ups.

Rik 15th July 2015 08:18 PM

Nah, it's been available uncut over here for about 10 years now, maybe longer. It's been out on BD for years too, I've just never got round to picking it up

Milano Calibro 9 was free thanks to all the points built up with Arrow.
Actually love that paypal with Arrow gives 14 days before debiting money, means I can actually time it for my payday.

For those who don't know, 88 Films does this now too, a lot more paypal retailers are taking payment 14 days after purchase which as said here means you can buy something in that dreaded week before payday!

That is a very sweet box set indeed Graeme! If you haven't already got them I would recommend the Hanzo the Razor and Female Scorpion box sets on the same label. God I love sleazy 1970s Japanese cinema!

Not seen tour of duty before how is it?

Tour of Duty was a great show and the UK DVDs feature the complete soundtrack that was replaced for the US DVD releases. I used to watch VHS recordings of these the morning after they were broadcast once I got back home from my Sunday paper round! Nostalgia is such a potent elixir!

No. Is it any good mind even if it's not I will pick it up just because it's Bruce and he was my favourite character in the show

But it's included in this set

Don't know tbh. I've only seen a few episodes of the show. It's something i've meant to see more of.
