I do indeed have a region free player. Amazon US looks about the most reasonable, Axel are selling it for about £17.35 before postage.

You know I'm gonna have to order this now.

CURSE YOU NEKRO, CURSE YOU!

I didn't forget as I'm a bit wary of the recent spate of remakes and I haven't heard great things about this one. It's not even at the cinema near me so I'll have to wait until it's released on DVD and BD and, if I like it, will look at importing then.

Well, that was meant facetiously -- I never thought it would come this close to being a real film.

It is better then most remakes tho.
I did enjoy it much more then Let Me In which is meant to be "the best remake in last few years". Plus I dont really listen to reviews much and make my mind up about it. It has its flaws yes but its still a good movie :)

Pete 24th January 2011 09:07 AM

Recently bought: Day of the Dead (Arrow) and Survival of the Dead (Optimum).

Edit: Just ordered Deep Red (Arrow) and Vigilante (BU)

I actually modified my order this morning as I had forgotten to buy Fulci's Cat in the Brain so pre-ordered I Spit on Your Grave whilst I was there -- it was a 'why the hell not?' moment!

trench 24th January 2011 04:55 PM

I went on a bit of an Amazon bender on Saturday and am now awaiting the following to drop at any moment :

The Vengeance Trilogy
Natural Born Killers
Eden Lake
City of the Living Dead
The Prowler
In The Loop
M
Metropolis
Paranormal Activity
Mesrine
The Blair Witch Project

That's not to mention the five Shameless dvd's, a copy of Messiah of Evil, and two t-shirts! Haven't bought anything in a while though so it was necessary, honest guv!

trench 24th January 2011 05:03 PM

Recently purchased :

REC/REC2 blu
Day of the Dead blu
Wolf Creek blu (it was cheap, and still pretty crap)
Le Orme dvd
Lizard in a Womans Skin dvd
Video Nasties The Definitive Guide limited dva
Last House on the Left 3 disc set

Blu's awaiting the drop :

The Vengeance Trilogy
Natural Born Killers
Eden Lake
City of the Living Dead
The Prowler
In The Loop
M
Metropolis
Paranormal Activity
Mesrine
The Blair Witch Project

Dvd's awaiting the drop :

Messiah of Evil
Watch Me When I Kill
Baba Yaga
Strip Nude For Your Killer
Who Saw Her Die?

I think I might have some stuff to watch.

Sargento 24th January 2011 05:13 PM

After watching the Video Nasties Def Guide, I couldn't resist buying:

Hell Of The Living Dead (Zombie Creeping Flesh) - Blue Underground

I remember it being really clunky and daft, but what the hell, a bit of Mattei never hurt anyone.

Sorry, should have clarified. It's just the stand-alone, UK releases of each film. I've had the dvd box-set for years so thought I'd just upgrade to blu because they were cheap at six quid a touch.

trench 24th January 2011 06:01 PM

High definition Manuela Velasco? I'm in! I do love those two films though it has to be said, and she is just the icing on the cake really.

Very true. I think the phrase "cute as a button" is definitely applicable!

I got myself the double one, I prefer Where Eagles Dare but like them both so figured it was the best choice ;)

I love the film but love his westerns just that little bit more.;)

OUATITW is my favourite film of all time.

Is it in a regular case or one of them nice U.S. book releases? (I must get some more of them, I've only got Falling Down)

I think quite a few French releases have forced subs, I haven't opened it yet but I'm pretty sure my Requiem for a Dream has too.
