I have the 01 disc too, and the English audio is indeed atrocious!

All current relases of this could definitely be improved on; a title ripe for Shameless I say!

Pete 11th February 2011 01:46 PM

Recently picked up: Halloween (Original - blu-ray), One Eyed Jacks - Network (finally, a decent widescreen version!), Carnival of Souls (network), The Simpsons seasons 5 & 8.

Pete 11th February 2011 04:19 PM

Just ordered The Killer Must Kill Again and The Sister of Ursula.

Sam 11th February 2011 05:08 PM

Picked up a few bargains this week:

Funny Games (tartan) £3.00 from Fopp
Texas Chainsaw Massacre collection (TCM remake 2-disc, TCM the beginning 2-disc and TCM3) - £1.99 from Big
The Zombie Chronicles (Brain Damage box set with Swamp Zombies, Forever Dead and Stiff Odds) - £1.99 from Big

pedromonkey 11th February 2011 05:33 PM

just ordered....

Seven Samurai - Korean release

oaxaca 11th February 2011 05:51 PM

Purchased:

http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...zNKSAc4uVQigIghttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...vlL5XHSAIVkkvw

Black Shield of Falworth = £6.60 from price minister
Subway (luc besson) = £8 from Head on the high street

Can't wait to see these, especially Subway. I think Christopher Lambert is a criminally under-rated actor, Subway being one of his, and Luc Besson's, earliest movies.

I've got that too. It's a really nice package although there were doubts about how official it was when released.

Recieved my Best Buy exclusive Almost Famous from bluraysforeveryone this morning. 4 days from the US! The guy who runs the site (who basically goes to the stores himself and picks up the discs for people), is a star. I'll certainly be buying from him again.

Very nice Stephen! :thumb:

Stephen@Cult Labs 12th February 2011 09:35 AM

Cheers bdc. I wonder sometimes how you can pay almost the same for shipping from one place, like The US, and another like Japan, and one takes 4 days to arrive and the other takes 3 weeks!

I have the Criterion Collection version which is a stellar release. Anyway, this morning, the postman brought the Green Zone Steelbook and The Crazies -- both on Blu-ray.

Sargento 12th February 2011 02:28 PM

Was a bit fed up today so treated myself to the Blu of:

My Bloody Valentine (Remake)

I quite like it, and saw it in 3D at the cinema. I won't be bothering with the pointless anaglyph version on the disk tho! Anyway, it was only £7.00.

pedromonkey 12th February 2011 03:56 PM

ordered some reproduction film posters to frame and hang in me room...

The Dirty Dozen -16x11inc
The Omega man -16X11inc

2.99 each, will be getting some more soon

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 12th February 2011 04:11 PM

If you don't mind me asking, why did you buy them from? I'm after some more reproduction posters that would be no more than 50cm tall.

I much prefer that want to Tarantino's version (if you can call it that) but paid more than £3 when I bought it online a while ago.

Nice purchases. I've still not picked up season 2 of The Sarah Conner Chronicles yet.

I went a litle silly a few moments ago. I'm a fan of the Death Wish movies and own the R4 double feature of Death Wish/Death Wish 2, but just had to buy these as well.

nekromantik 13th February 2011 02:26 PM

getting refund on Buried blu so got Elephant on blu instead :)

kingofwitches666 13th February 2011 04:27 PM

Got a leaflet through my door about a factory shop, located a couple of streets away from my house, that was having a liquidation sale.

Managed to pick up The Doug McClure Fantasy Adventure Triple Pack dvd set & Blake's 7 - Series 4, both brand new & sealed, a fiver each plus the leaflet came with a three pound off coupon.

Winner! :D

Stephen@Cult Labs 13th February 2011 05:47 PM

Just bought this lovely looking steelbook after watching a video by mizpol, showing his different editions of Dawn Of The Dead. One of the main reasons I bought it was because the version here is actually the Argento cut......in HD!

bonus, The Doug Maclure set is great, Warlords of Atlantis is a fun flick very badly made that's the charm of it.

I've sent Mizpol a message to ask him if he knows. Ah well, even if it is the Romero cut, it's still a nice looking set.
