Absolutely. Warlords is the one I'm most looking forward to watching only for the fact that the other two films in the set, I've seen in recent times.

Don't think I've seen Warlords in nearly 30 years!

I was about 8 when it came out. God I feel old.

nekromantik 13th February 2011 07:39 PM

Yeah, my favourite DOTD artwork. Mizpol showed his Japanese DOTD Perfect Collection laserdisc which also uses the gasmask art.

bdc 13th February 2011 08:56 PM

Yep,that cover artwork is great!
According to ofdb there should be two hidden features?
Two episodes of Tales from the Crypt.

I've read this is limited to 2000.

oaxaca 14th February 2011 08:51 PM

Yeah I do find Michael Caine a very good actor. Versatile too... I loved his turn at alongside Steve Martin in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS.

Popped into morrisons earlier as I had earned a £5 voucher on my morrisons miles fuel card. Came away with the barmy eighties sci-fi classic HIGHLANDER Immortal edition on BD for a mere £2 with that voucher :p another bargain! :)

I must confess that I've never seen Maniac so my first viewing will be this Blu-ray with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound! Then there are the myriad extra features including two commentaries so I will know all about the film by the time I'm through with the disc.

Actually, come to think of it, all of those were 'blind buys'!

antmumford 15th February 2011 08:29 AM

Went to my Tesco's for the weekly shop and managed to pick up Kingdom of Heaven Limited Numbered 4 Disc Collectors Edition set for only £3. Got myself number 3026. Not sure how many were made but some of the other copies were in the region of about 21000 plus, so quite a low number I guess.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 15th February 2011 09:28 AM

I assume that was on DVD?

Came home from work tonight to find my HK blu-rays of Cobra and Demolition Man had been delivered. Superdeeduper!

Sargento 15th February 2011 05:49 PM

Does anyone know if Jack Sholder's The Hidden has a decent print on the UK release?

Sam 15th February 2011 05:54 PM

Bought Barfly on DVD from Playtrade, only when it arrived it was a copy :censored:

oaxaca 15th February 2011 10:33 PM

Just ordered THE STRANGER on amazon.com. Very much looking forward to seeing this although the transfer has supposedly had plenty of DNR applied to remove the print imperfections. Even so, its still had mainly positive reviews from what I've read. Also bought PANDORA AND THE FLYING DUTCHMAN off amazon marketplace for £7.60.
