I bought it from Zavvi and it took nearly a week to ship / arrive.

The price is similar though and almost a tenner cheaper than Amazon. It was about twenty quid cheaper than Amazon when i bought mine. They've lowered their price a bit.

Apparently disc 6 (of the 9 blu-rays) is coded region A despite being a Criterion UK release. Perhaps that might explain why Amazon UK are selling them off so cheaply?

Edit: Supposedly Criterion UK will be setting up a replacement disc scheme.

Pick ups from the last two weeks.

Music Magpie have had a lot of bargains lately as Kids of Degrassi Street, Hardy Boys / Nancy Drew, Key & Peele, The Warriors, Walking Tall Trilogy, Sinderella and the anime titles for around £3 each. The Shout Factory Power Rangers box set was £6 and the 4K 4 disc set and Sopranos were £13 each.

Dennis Hopper The American Dreamer, Slave of the Cannibal God, Night of the Creeps, Maniac, Ben Hur, Bridge on the River Kwai, Massage Parlour Murders, Popcorn, Behind the Yellow Wall, The Law Enforcer were from the Facebook collectors groups.

Photos 6-7, 13-14 & 16-18 were from a private collector who has been selling off his collection and picked up many of them for as little as £3 each

Jurassic World, Trainspotting 2 and Overdrive were from Cex with store credit.

I picked up the last 4K limited edition of Escape From New York from my local Fopp last Friday as heard that it was sold out.

The last photo are my charity shop finds from the last few weekends which were 50p each or less apart from the Falling Down bluray which was 95p.

Its alright being able to afford them but i just wish i had more time to watch them as at the moment i'm working extra due to how busy it is but it will be worth it as for my troubles i have managed to get extra time off in January and going to get 18 days off in a row to relax and watch movies.

I know. It’s not so bad since the main art has the title and it’s on the outer box spine. I’m surprised no-one caught it though. I’m sure the eventual standard version will fix it though.

Nostalgic 17th December 2018 08:33 PM

Lol! Watching it now & just flipped the cover, will keep it like that though as title is on outer box. Great film, first time watching it after reading about it a lot in the early 90's and not being able to get a copy. Glad it's out now!

Early Xmas for me, this lot was just over £20, although by no means a great flick the soundtrack on the BD of JW is probably the best I've ever heard, the orchestral music is beautifully spread to the front like they're in a pit just like in old time cinemas and the 88 Dawn was a charity shop find DVD for £1.99

and that must be at least the 3rd time I've bought Legend on CD.:presents:

Nostalgic 18th December 2018 09:05 PM

Our local hmv were dropping £5 off when you spend over £35 vouchers into neighboring shops so...

Got the William Castle vol 2 set for £39.99
