I ordered Brotherhood of Satan some time last month for £4.60 on Amazon when a few of the recent releases were weirdly low prices it just arrived. The other two from CEX, a tenner for both. I know I told myself that my watch pile was too high but what’s a few more for good measure… https://i.ibb.co/kGp0VYL/E98-BF9-B4-...BC4-AFC835.jpg https://i.ibb.co/GvdZFkV/FB033-C23-2...-F96-AA8-D.jpg |
3 Attachment(s) First actual purchases since mid December. The Munsters from Amazon and three from the Network sale. |
5 Attachment(s) This week's new arrivals: Sons of Anarchy and Nope from eBay; Creed, Cars 3*, The Rover*, and My Soul to Take* from Music Magpie; The Seven-Per-Cent Solution*, Cannibal Holocaust, Violence in a Women's Prison, Men*, and X* from HMV. I wanted to get the latter two when I was in the shop but they only had X in stock so the staff member advised me to buy them online! *Blind buys |
Have you seen Sons of Anarchy before, Nos? I absolutely love it. I have it all on dvd and would seriously consider an upgrade to Blu-ray. The Rover is really good i thought, the harsh Australian landscapes look great in HD, but My Soul to Take is dross. Nice haul by the way. |
Ordered the first series of Terrahawks (BD) from the Network sale. Might be here tomorrow!! :pop2: |

The titles in the Music Magpie selection were 4 for £8 so, if My Soul to Take is rubbish, I haven't wasted much money; I had a quick look and saw that The Rover had received good reviews so was worth buying because of the people involved. |

Terrahawks just dropped through the door, so that's my night sorted. |
Anyone else have issues with WowHD tracking numbers not working? |
1 Attachment(s) Spent all but a fiver of my remaining credit on this limited edition Blu-ray set. Just like the Season 17 set i got last week this is virtually mint condition. Time to say goodbye to stuff like Herostratus and the Godawful Skinner to gain a bit more credit me thinks. |
What Have You Bought Recently? Quote:
Try pasting it into this website which is a global tracker. https://parcelsapp.com/ I’ve always used that for WowHD |

I can usually track my WOWHD parcels until they get to the UK then they don't appear to move or register, then they get delivered just as I start to wonder what's going on... Not had one lost or fail to turn up yet though! |

German Reservoir Dogs blu-ray arrived today. This is a new release put out by Arthaus/Studio Canal which uses the new 4K remaster. German subtitles are optional, it's uncut and it wasn't very expensive. It's a crazy improvement over my old UK disc, looking forward to properly watching it later in week. Would recommend a purchase. |
The Second Sight version of 'Return Of The Living Dead' also contains the original soundtrack and *not* the altered audio that most releases have |
2 Attachment(s) Didn't even know there were altered versions, i've still got an old dvd copy. Hate it when they change music and alter films randomly, unless it's a director's cut. Return of the living deads soundtrack is a big pull for me, used to have the vinyl and still have the original uk vhs poster that highlights the music featured. Attachment 244366 Attachment 244365 |
It’s usually because the band or their management are asking for too much money for the song license or just plainly refuse. I think it’s The Damned song that’s missing but I can’t be 100% sure. Unrelated but related, the newest release of Wayne’s World has finally got the Stairway to Heaven gag reinstated, so when the guitar shop guy points to the No Stairway to Heaven sign it actually makes sense haha. Led Zeppelin blocked that for years! |

From Amazon, for anyone who’s ever seen an Italian film from the last 40 years but not watched the epic Ennio documentary (2hrs 35 mins, flies by) I highly recommend it. Had me in tears the first time I saw it. From the director of Cinema Paradiso. https://i.ibb.co/FxLmPsQ/7-E428-C76-...-E9-D8-AE9.jpg https://i.ibb.co/PjSw4N2/74781-E57-0...2-C843-AA3.jpg |
That Ennio doc looks okay but it could do with a few star names talking about him. I don't know, it just seems to be lacking somewhat. Clint Eastwood, Bruce Springsteen, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Tarantino! Who are they? |

Take John Williams. So many of his films have been huge in the history of cinema since he had huge acclaim for Jaws in the mid seventies. Morricone meanwhile would score something such as Argento's Phantom of the Opera or Exorcist II and automatically make them more interesting than the dross they'd be without his music. |

I think it’s just the 4k I’m afraid! |

Just to confirm that the 'Stairway' riff is not on any of the blurays of Waynes World, I was looking into it last night, Paramount announced a 30th anniversary BD early last year, a steelbook and a twin-pack of both films, and they were just the old masters from like 10 years ago, then a couple of months later dropped the bomb that the 4k was coming out in the autumn and it's a whole new master. People were annoyed that they just shelled out money on the BD when they could have just waited. Personally I already had it from when it first came out so I never got the new ones from last year, but I did buy the 4k version digitally and it looks great. |

Can anyone advise? Are incoming international deliveries affected by this Royal Mail cyber attack? Their website asks not to submit new exports but doesn't mention exports such as a Blu-ray from France. :thankingyou: |
