I picked up Serenity for £1.99 from the Co-op on Friday night. I've never seen Firefly although I've heard good things about it, so will need to pick that up at some point. If it is anywhere near as good as Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel then I will be in for a treat.

Ooooo bad Idea. One thing happens in Serenity that will make you wish you watched Firefly first. I didn't, and it really annoyed me. You have been warned!

Incorporate them into a film stills post of The Night Porter.

It will look even more decadent.

Thanks for the advice. I do intend to acquire Firefly before I watch Serenity.

Good idea. I think Firefly is about 10 hours long, so it shouldn't take you long to watch that before putting on the Serenity BD.

While I am collecting the Eureka steelbooks, I am somewhat puzzled that unlike Kino in the States we don't have the Moroder Metropolis on Blu sadly.

Got my Scott Pilgrim Steelbook in the post on Saturday, looks lovely, and great spongy packaging from Play...

Postman has not been at all today, I'm waiting for packages from Amazon (a CD), Topspin USA (another CD), Fright-Rags, and HMV (Hunger Games BD Steelbook). Since I work in a busy office it's rare not to get any post at all, especially on a Monday!

Rik 3rd September 2012 02:52 PM

I'm waiting on a few titles too, from Amazon, Arrow, EBay and All Your Music. All I got today was a letter from the bank!

clare 3rd September 2012 03:11 PM

Justin101 3rd September 2012 03:18 PM

Pics in case people are interested, the Scott Pilgrim is especially nice, the logo and the stars on the front are embossed into the steel.

keirarts 3rd September 2012 05:24 PM

My rumblefish steelbook turned up this morning. One of eureakas best sleeve designs imo.

Baseball Fury 3rd September 2012 06:32 PM

Amazon are doing a two for £10 at the moment, so I ordered Mallrats and LA Confidential, both of which are over £10 each seperately. Score.

Is that the UK Buried BD – the one in the incorrect aspect ratio – or the US one in the correct aspect ratio?

Pete 4th September 2012 12:13 PM

No, it's the ILC DVD of the horror movie BURIED ALIVE with Donald Pleasance and Robert Vaughan, directed by former Porn director Gerard Kikoine :)

Also popped into CEX and saw that the Walking Dead season 2 BD set has gone up to £25 so it must've been a pricing error when I bought it for £15 on Sunday :)

I don't get why they do that. Is it cheaper to sell the two of them together rather than to produce both DVD and Blu Ray seperately?
