Hell yeah. Since my sky HD recording got trashed, I've only got the DVD. This is one movie I like to watch at least every month or two. One of my desert island films.

Hell yeah! After only seeing it for the first time a few weeks ago I couldn't believe no BD had been made yet, pretty shocking as its such a great great film

A That's Entertainment opened round my way recently. So I got 3 dvd's for £5 today.

Gladiator -- 3 disc edition.
Jack Frost -- the awesome killer snowman one, not the Micheal Keaton one.
Edmond -- I think it's the only Stuart Gordon movie I haven't seen, so was well chuffed to get it.

I see my influence is spreading!

ha, there's like 8 charity shops on the main business road round the corner from my house, i do the run every 2 weeks.

Last boy scout/last man standing.

For about 5.89 this double bill represented good value for money. Last boy scout is one of my favourite Tony scott films and has an excellent screenplay from Shane black. Still as entertaining as ever and with some great one liners the transfer to blu-ray looks good (if a little dark).

Last man standing is a flawed but entertaining remake of yojimbo set in texas during the prohibition era as two rival gangs fight for control of the bootlegging trade fro mexico. In steps bruce willis enigmatic stranger referring to himself as 'john smith from back east' who sets to play both sides against each other and make some cash in the process. Hill throws in the two gun john woo style shoot outs and Ry cooders moody score is brilliant. Theres a few holes in the narrative but I've always found this to be an enjoyable package.

Fantastic transfer and great disc. Nice to see an action film where americans are not trying to win the vietnam war single handedly. Joe zito is as reliable a director as ever. Dark angel is still my favourite Dolph lundgren movie though.

Just ordered the Japanese Blu-ray of "Day of the Dead".

Bit expensive at £52 delivered (half of that is postage) but it looks like a nice set with a few bits I must have, as I'm kinda obsessed with the movie, as some of you may know from this thread from way back.

For numerous reasons, I just haven't been on the site for about a month or so but, while I've been away sorting out some important stuff, I have still been buying plenty of shiny discs and therefore (although a little late), here's last months, and a few more recent, purchases/arrivals... :)

Note - according to the case, this is the 'special edition', containing "deleted scenes (over 30 more minutes of movie), commentary and theatrical trailer", when the disc actually contains "featurette (4:23), gag reel (1:01) and trailer (0.50). Am a bit disappointed!

I just recieved my steelbook of jaws from play, it was supurbly packaged and no damage, they put it in a large cardboard case surrounded by foam padding.

Just won THE DEADLY TRIANGLE giallo off ebay. Totally forgot i'd bid for it!

Play. Thing is though, I expect my steelbooks with zero defects. Even the smallest little scratch annoys me.
