I had an awesome haul this weekend. As I can't afford to buy anything so that I can save for my holiday next year I decided to have a trawl through my DVDs and see what I no longer want/need, I managed to fill a box. I took this box to my local CEX and got £45 worth of exchange vouchers. I wanted to maybe just get the odd BD or DVD every now and again over a course of a few months as and when I visit the store but unfortunately (or fortunately) within 10 minutes of a browse I managed to pick up the entire £45 worth of stuff.
This is what I got:

Apocalypse Now Collectors Edition BD
Mulholland Drive (Studio Canal Digibook) BD
Wanted (Steelbook) BD
Pixar Shorts (with Slipcover) BD
Alien Vs. Predator Definitive Edition (Steelbook) DVD

All in Pristine Condition. I was a happy boy!

the MD digi is a fantastic release!
Wanted is a fun flick and the steely is nice (i own the UK steely too)

AvP....now that is a stinker even if it is in a steely I would not pay for that junk.

You posted your rather excellent haul at the same time as I posted mine, Ant. If the ones you sold were DVDs you don't watch or aren't very good, that seems like an excellent deal.

AvP is part of the 20th Century Fox Definitive Edition Steelbooks Collection that I'm trying to collect bit by bit and twas only £2. The collection look so nice together I just have to get them all regardless of the film.
To be honest though although it's a stinker (I do agree), it's not as bad as I was expecting it to be after all the remarks from people on forums, I hear the 2nd is even worse too.

However, it can be explained:
...I'm a Monroe fan.
...I love French comedies.
...I need my recommended dose of Horror.

Greetings!

All of them were DVDs that I either had upgraded to BD (i.e. Taxi Driver) or were crap or I knew I just wouldn't watch again so I was super super chuffed with what I got

I'm the same as you, except for the French comedy bit! Marilyn Monroe may have been a pain to work with and direct but, when she was on form, she was a fine comedic actress and was extremely sexy.

AvP is nowhere near as bad as everyone says. It's entertaining enough and passes the time. I'd rather watch it than ever see Alien:Resurrection ever again (and indeed have seen it several times).

I reckon AvP is OK - a fun monster flick. I prefer it to Wanted, that's for damn sure!
