There's a few Studiocanal digibook releases I think I'd end up missing out on in favour of other releases - like Belle du Jour where I'd prefer the Criterion. I'm not really in a position to buy both. At present I only have The Third Man. Really should get Mulholland Drive though. edit: Damn you Ant! Damn you to helllllll! |

The Elephant Man is his most accessible straight laced film, along with The Straight Story so if it's the weird nature of his other releases that put you off then you should be able to swallow this one easier. Give it a rent I say

went to manchester yesterday to watch a double bill of four flies on gey velvet (stunning pq) and cemetary man courtesy of our good friends grimm up north and shameless. Had a quick look on their dvd/blu stall and picked up dark star special edition (with the 117 minute making of) for £6! Also got the shameless dont torture a duckling for £4.

The Elephant Man is a classic,and unfortunately the only Lynch film I like. And whilst he slags off Lynch,he picks up Shark Night!
