Oh, and Queen of the Damned. Nice picture. Plenty of grain where it's supposed to be. Not a startling picture but very nice. Audio seemed a little subdued in DTS HD-MASTER, but maybe that was because it was clearer and with sharper separation, rather than the DVD's DD5.1 which was all "In yer face". Musical parts seemed quieter and further back from the main soundstage. On the whole 7.5/10 where the DVD was 7/10. An improvement, but not massive.

Buys from the last week: Robocop Trilogy for £10 from HMV, Dungeons and Dragons from Poundland, Voltron Collection 1 for £2.70 from eBay and Dr. No for 99p from Cash Converters (also bought Goldfinger from there but got it home to discover that the discs look like they've been rubbed over with sandpaper, should of checked them instore ) |
