Pre-ordered this from Arrow (hoping that they ship it out earlier than the slightly cheaper Amazon)

Pre-ordered this from Sainsbury's (wanted the steelbook, but couldn't resist the extra exclusive disc)

And finally, ordered this from Sainsbury's for £9

That's it for a bit, got a wedding to attend next week, £50 already going on a hotel room before I've even hit the bar!

Both in very good condition. Who's a 'appy troggi then?
My favorite Hammer-related charity shop find was both volumes of Hammer house of mystery and suspense at £5.99 each. Sounds dear for a charity shop until you see the price they were on amazon at the time and your eyes start to bleed!

Picked this up from Grainger Games today myself. For me, V/H/S is one of the best horror films of recent years but it does seem to divide opinion.

Yeah, I loved it personally, obviously not as good as the original trilogy, but definitely one of the better remakes of recent times

I know you're not asking me but I thought it was a pretty good remake, though not as good as the maniac remake.

Cheers. Would it of been better if it was a stand alone horror without the Evil Dead tag or is it an actual remake.

Still not seen Maniac remake but seems to only get good reviews.

I've also got a wedding to attend, although this one is two weeks, so I've been ordered by the other half to stop spending money on films and buy a suit. Well, luckily there was a second hand shop near the tailors so I picked up the following (and hid them as I snuck them in the house, like the coward I am).

Kairo (Pulse) - I've never seen this, my brother seems to think it's a good film. Cost me 50p

Brick - I used to own this, but I'll be damned if I can remember what happened to it. Remember really liking it. 50p.

Gangster No.1 - Kind of got lost amongst the 'Lock, Stock' clones, but it's a different animal completely. Some great performances. £1.

The Funeral - I've watched a bunch of films directed by Abel Ferrara, The Funeral is one I haven't seen. Cost me a massive 50p.

I also had Dark Skies drop through the letterbox, couldn't hide that one.

You know I think it would have been better as a stand alone flick, certainly not as fun as the original trilogy but more intense and serious in tone.

I do think it suffered due to a lack of Bruce Campbell's Ash character as well. Overall, not bad though n

I definitely recommend maniac, again intense like the original but slick and stylish with a top drawer soundtrack.
