I picked up the 80's Jack The Ripper starring Michael Caine which I vaguely remember watching on TV when I was a kid, pretty sure it was in miniseries form.

The postman delivered Firefly and Serenity on Bluray so I can bin off my DVDs and I bought The Complete Alan Partridge on DVD (it doesn't contain Midmorning Matters).

I also found The Jess Franco collection in CEX, contains eight films including Jack The Ripper with Klaus Kinski.

Went ahead and picked this up. I wish The Godsend would have had a standalone release.

That Michael Caine Jack the Ripper was a mini series. It's still the best screen attempt at telling the ripper story done in my humble opinion. I like to believe Alan Moore watched it before writing his sublime Graphic novel (with art by eddie campbell) FROM HELL. The screen adaptation of that was ok'ish but not a patch on the book. I also like the Jess Franco Jack the Ripper (out in a spiffing looking Blu-ray) though it has nothing to do with the Ripper. Murder by decree is also good but the Caine version is the best.
