Not sure why people call The Wicker Man a musical. It isn't. It's a film with songs, that's not the same as a musical, which uses song to drive the narrative forward.
Had Lee's speech and Woodward's pleading pre burning, been in the form of a song then yes it would be a musical. | I was reluctant to include it to be honest but as others already did I mentioned it as it's one of my favourite films! I agree though, the songs aren't part of the narrative but they are an integral part of the film!
