This weeks new arrivals. The BFI Douglas Wilmer Sherlock Holmes series is currently down to £13.99 on Amazon. It's usually £30. The Hateful Westerns Collection is a Dutch release to cash in on the recentish QT film and features Sam Peckinpah's The Glory Guys (1965), The Hunting Party (1971), The Spikes Gang (1974), Doc West (2009), 6 Guns (2009) Cole Younger & The Black Train (2012), Young Billy Young (1969) and Hour of the Gun (1967) Daughter of Darkness is from DD Entertainment and comes with a lovely 24 page booklet by English Gothic's Johnathan Rigby. Finally, Slightly Scarlet is an interesting sounding film noir that has just been released by Screenbound over here. This release from VCI features a commentary that the UK version lacks. |

New stuff from the last week. I went into Fopp earlier in the week to pick up Fires on the Plain and also bought Don't torture a Duckling as part of the 2 for £25 offer. Also because of the 88 Films promotion in Fopp with the free tote bags which has just started i popped in this morning to pick up a few titles i was missing and also the superb Korean spy movie The Age of Shadows which i noticed had also gone down in price since i picked it earlier in the week.
