The 4k restoration disc in the box set was poorly encoded and everyone kicked up a fuss and they re-encoded it, took them over a year to sort it out, but Rik and I bought it recently on Amazon.it and it was obviously old stock as we both got the older version, it's pretty noisy and ugly so you would notice, particularly on the outdoor scenes.

I got the set when it was first released so mine is most probably at fault as well.
I will go check it out again.
I remember people were not happy about the transfer.
What do I have to do to get a replacement disc?

Thanks

Is this the same one I have asked about in the 'is it worth buying'?

If so, is it worth buying? and would I probably have to send off for a replacement disc? Who did you send yours back to J? Wouldn't mind the Italian 4K set.

Email to zombi@kochmedia.com with a proof of purchase, amazon invoice etc, you don't need to send the disc back.

It's the same on the set with the UHD disc Profondo Rosso, but it's just the bluray of the Italian cut that's affected and not the the UHD disc as far as I know. There is a realllllly long thread on bluray.com in the Italy sub-forum with all the details.

I've only ever watched the extended cut but I've heard scenes are moved around a bit in addition to being longer. Have you seen The Wailing before? I watched it on Netflix a couple of months ago and absolutely loved it. The Chaser and The Yellow Sea by the same director are also fantastic.
