Also yesterday popped into the local CEX, they'd made a section full of 50p films, so picked all these up for £3.50.

A combo of CEX and charity shops brought this in... the Mummy double was £2.99 and the 101 films Stone Tape dvd was only 99p still sealed from BHF, the other dvd were all 50p each (Raising Arizona was from the CEX 50p dvd sale)

The Second Coming is excellent. Have you seen it before?

Gormenghast with Christopher Lee as Flay is also very good.

Yep i've seen both, i think Christopher Eccleston is a really interesting actor, shame he didn't do more Dr Who and i enjoyed "The Second coming" when i watched it .

I already had VHS copies of both so it's time to retire those.

I watched "Gormenghast" when it was originally shown and again about 5 years ago, so might have to give that a re watch soon as i enjoyed it previously.

I really liked Maps to the Stars as well.

The Harryhausen film was a no-brainer. I love the FX work in it.

Can you switch to colour using the dvd remote as you watch? You can with the box set version. It looks great in colour as well...surprisingly. I tend to flip between the two when i watch it .

I haven't seen Maps yet so it will be interesting to see what i make of it.

Just says Black and white on the back of Saucers, but i'm not too worried as i usually avoid colourised versions of films.

We aren't talking Night of the Living Dead - everything is tinted green colourised, the Harryhausen ones look like a movie from the time filmed in technicolor..

Now i look at the box set they are all two disc editions packed with special features. Still at 50p for the disc you can't go wrong. Excellent purchase, nos.

VLC Player really struggled to load the disc. The Chromachoice experience must have been difficult to sort out for it. See a couple of grabs below.

The Stone Tape is great - you got a real bargain there, plato.
