Been wanting to rewatch Suspiria again as i quite liked it at the cinema and Dems positive review got me thinking about it again.
I was looking in my local CEX but it never turned up so i thought sod it.

I love it, yes it is arty and pretentious (but not enough to turn me off, i used to watch a fair bit of arthouse stuff but can't really be arsed so much these days).

It's a unique film that contains enough macabre and gothic touches to be worth recommending.

Here's a trailer, make sure you watch till the end where the horror elements come into play.
It gives a good idea of what to expect.

It's a haunting, Gothic, fairy tale about the sexual awakening of a young woman featuring some wonderfully grotesque imagery. It's very dream like in it's structure.

I really like it. Have done since the vhs days. I really don't go in for arthouse movies but this is an exception.

My disc has an interview with someone called Michael Brooke sat in his kitchen discussing the film in great detail.

I'm looking forward to picking up the new Blu-ray of Valerie myself when I get back off my hols! One of my favourites since the Redemption VHS.
