Pre-ordered 1974's The Longest Yard on Australian blu-ray (Umbrella). Comes out July the 8th. Absolutely outstanding Burt Reynolds film and one of my most badly wanted blu-ray titles. Used JB Hifi - eleven pounds for the bd and just over four pounds to ship to a UK address which seems quite reasonable.

Bought a discounted (10 pounds) Doctor Sleep blu-ray from Sainsburys. After also using staff discount and some nectar points, it was just 6.50 pounds. I'm pleased with that. Has anyone here watched this? I was wondering which cut to choose, theatrical or director's cut? I'm leaning towards theatrical at moment as I sometimes struggle with 3 hour running times. Any response appreciated.

I've just seen the theatrical cut. I felt the first forty minutes to an hour were very disjointed but the film on the whole i liked.

Rebecca Ferguson as Rose the Hat is superb.

I also watched the Theatrical, I'll watch the extended at some point, but I agree, Rebecca Ferguson was amazing!

I just love Total Recall.

@bleakshaun did you ever watched It Happened here? I came across during a recent HMV sale on BFI titles, but didn't grab it, but left me very curious.
