Took advantage of the 2 for UK$15 offer at Amazon, and I got

The Masque Of The Red Death - Blu
Irreversible - Powerhouse Blu

Thanks to Mr. Dike for the heads-up regarding this sale

New arrivals from Amazon. I was delighted to see the limited edition of Mausoleum had dropped to ?14.99. I've never seen that film. The other two were in their 2 for $15 offer.

I received a big box from 88 Films a couple of days ago, with several films I haven't seen (The Sorcerers, Night of the Big Heat, Island of Terror, Orgasmo, Pumpkinhead II), and others I have (the Pete Walker ones), which I bought for the extra features and 2K remasters.

My list of unwatched films is now colossally long!

Nice purchases, Nos. I hope you aren't photo sensitive to flashing lights or Pumpkinhead II will be unwatchable during a lengthy sequence in a barn. It's a film i'll be picking up to watch in October as i need to replace my US dvd which is framed 4:3.

Oh and how have you not seen all those British classics before? You watch waaay too many cartoons.

No, I am not photosensitive with anything like epilepsy, but occasionally get migraines when I'm tired and exposed to bright light, so that won't be a problem for me. I've seen the first Pumpkinhead film, but not the sequel.

I'm not sure why I haven't seen those three films, though something about Island of Terror sounds familiar, so I may have seen it years ago and not logged it anywhere.

Sequels. Plural. There are four Pumpkinhead films in total.

Marc Morris's mate Jake West directed the third film Ashes to Ashes so naturally got his old pal Doug Bradley to star in it.

I knew there were more, so I probably should have said "I've seen the first Pumpkinhead film, but not the sequels."

I was thinking of picking up Island of Terror this week, I've never seen it but it intrigues me, do we have any fans here?

I like it. Got rid of my dvd to make way for an upgrade to this new release.

It's very much seen as a companion piece to Night of the Big Heat even though they are unrelated plot wise.

That's interesting, what is it the links them if it's not the plot?
