CEX pickups this week. Gladiator is a long overdue upgrade. I was pleased to find Pay the Ghost as its one I've been wanting to rewatch and was surprised to find I didn't already own as I thought. Death Ship is another one I've not seen for years and seeing as I had some credit kicking around I grabbed it. Bridge of Spies is a total blind buy as I've realised I'm a little behind with Speilbergs more recent (relatively) output.20241121_150144.jpg

From Cex this afternoon. All from trade ins. I got a tenner credit for the equivalent Doctor Who stories on dvd so that was a help.

I read the book of Cell recently and it intrigues me as to how it plays out as a film.

It is a brilliant film; the performances from Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance are superb, the production design beautifully evokes the period, and it is deftly directed by Steven Spielberg. I saw it at the cinema and a couple of times at home since then, but it is overdue another viewing.

I look forward to it. I'm debating getting Amistad and Munich in HMV as the two for ?15 on Premium titles is currently running.

Amistad I've never seen. I can't remember much about Munich really although that maybe saying something in itself.
