Perfect summer movie? Mac and Me (which would be the perfect film to watch on the big screen in a park), The Aviator's Wife, Celine and Julie Go Boating, Les Valseuses, King of Hearts, Mildred Pierce, Village of the Damned, Carnival of Souls, The Birds, House & Evil Dead Trap.

Completely random, for some reason these films just invoke thoughts of summer.

Not that I do summer.
I certainly see the 'summery vibe' in some of those that you listed - particularly Celine and Julie go Boating, The Birds... and to some extent Village of the Damned.

Yesterday when it was sunny here rather than the chill, greyness of today I had the burning desire to get drunk, have sex and sleep away the afternoon(the three things summer reminds me of) rather than visit my normal round of crack houses and shooting galleries. Such thoughts always remind me of the film "Barfly". Being an alcoholic poet seems a lovely way to spend the summer.

The Wicker man

Being Summerisle and all.
Also the final song.

Summer is a coming in or (however it is written?)

When the sun rises at the end, it always makes me feel summery.

Although in saying that if it's way too warm I end up spending most of my free time sitting in my local pub with an ice cold drink

Westerns are good summer films.
