I have never been a big musical fan, but ever since I saw A clockwork orange many moons ago, I liked singing in the rain the song, then the film....don't know why as many musicals bore me. Although watching it, during the scene when Gene Kelly is splashing around in puddles all I want to do is kick people in the stomach and then smash their head in with a large ornate penis......I try not to watch it too often.

[QUOTE=Rik;455754]And Fright Night (original version) is better than both of those.

I agree, Colin Farrell and David Tennant were excellent in it. |

I think Night of the Living Dead ('68) is hugely overrated. In fact, I have never been able to sit through it from beginning to end because it is so boring.

And Fright Night Part II is better than all of them. |

A few 'confessions' from me:
- Dawn of the Dead is nothing more than a pretty decent zombie film but not the pant-moistening masterpiece that people tout it as. - Most of the Elm Street films are awful... the Friday the 13th films are generally uninspired and I actually find to be rather boring except Jason X which is the best in the franchise from a purely entertainment point of view. - I'd rather watch any of the Hellraiser sequels than most of sequels to the above franchises. - The Chucky films are terrible. - I rate Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers higher than Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. - Shaun of the Dead is one of the worst comedy horror films ever made. - I have never seen a Wes Anderson film. - I have seen pretty much every animated feature-length Disney film (many of them multiple times) yet dislike a vast chunk of them quite a lot. - I dislike The Sound of Music (and musicals in general really) so much that I once faked illness so I wouldn't have to go to school that day as our class were going to be watching it. - I have seen Jaws: The Revenge probably twice as many times as the original Jaws. - I've seen Labyrinth more times than I care to count. - I once paid to go and see The Last Samurai three times in one day due to having organised three separate dates on that one day so I would only need to make one trip into town that week. - I have only seen one Studio Ghibli film (Grave of the Fireflies) and thought it was rubbish SPOILER: |

I love teen comedies more than horror films! And I love horror a LOT... Freddy's Revenge, even though touted as one of the worst is my favourite one! I'm addicted to musicals and West Side Story, Grease and Singing in the Rain are among my all time favourite films of any genre! I've tried and failed to watch Kurosawa films on numerous occasions and Ran is the only one I've watched all the way through! I watched Citizen Kane for the first time last year and found it pretty boring apart from a bit in the middle with a song! I watched a Jacques Tati film and couldn't stop thinking about Mr Bean all the way through...

Do you want me to pass on your thoughts to Tom Savini and Ken Foree this weekend?
