That's good to know. Not that it missed, but that you like it. Ghosts aren't really a favoured genre of mine, especially when it comes to modern films. I find film makers are lazy and go for simple musical jump scares rather than generating any real terror. It's very rare a modern film gets under your skin the way The Haunting does for example. The sequence with the door and the handle turning is a prime example of how to scare an audience without resorting to cliches. |
