Yeah i'm out for the rest of the day soon.

I couldn't decide between Slaughter's Sweeney Todd or Burton's so neither made the list.

I'm not a big fan of dubbed folk running round jungles for 90 minutes. They really are much of a muchness.

Hopefully Eli Roth's film is a departure.

I have said it before I didn't like Green Inferno there are too many stupid things happening that make it feel like more of a piss take of a cannibal film but everyone else seems to really like it.

It shouldn't really feel like a piss take (i haven't seen it), Roth comes across as having a love and knowledge of Italian cannibal films.

Personally i think they were all exploitative piss takes anyway. It was only when we started seeing the films uncut and became appalled at the animal violence that directors such as Deodato came out with the socio-political angles to deflect the impending shit storm. There's no evidence from back in the day that these films were anything other than grungy cheaply made exploitation.

When i say i'm not a big fan, it doesn't mean i don't like them because i do.

I have all the Italian splatter films except Cannibal Man.

However one or two aside, they are quite samey.
