![]() I completely forgot about Grizzly Man – it would definitely be on my top 10 as I think it's an extraordinarily powerful and fascinating piece of filmmaking. I probably consider it a documentary more than a found footage film which is why it didn't cross my mind when I was compiling my list.

Top 10 Found Footage Films: The Blair Witch Project Diary of the Dead Cannibal Holocaust Cloverfield Troll Hunter [REC] [REC]2 My Little Eye Man Bites Dog Grizzly Man That's in no particular order – I could probably do slightly different list on a different day, but that's what I have at the moment, with Grizzly Man replacing The Bay.

Given the whole film is structured around the last footage found of Timothy treadwell (including audio footage of his death) I would argue that Grizzly man fits the notion of found footage. Herzog was genuinely fascinated by the footage that treadwell managed to capture.
