Planet of the Apes (1968) Escape from New York (1981) Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) (1981) The War Game (1965) Waterworld (1995) Reign of Fire (2002) Children of Men (2006) Immortal (2004) Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D (1966) Logan's Run (1976) Blade Runner would have been top, however i'm not really convinced it's a dystopian future. Just the future. The same goes for Gattaca, another which might have made my top 10. |

I just remember it being set in the present day as were all the first three. |

I have seen a few and have come to the conclusion that they're not really for me. I do like (and own) Akira though. |

Same goes for Brazil. It's as though it's Gilliam therefore it's a classic. This wasn't deliberately aimed at you Nos. Even though i quoted you. It's a general observation. |

I class those as dystopian future films because they were set in the future which is, as far as our expectations are, a society which is either not functioning properly or is, in some way, less than ideal – the same would go for Soylent Green, 1984 or Fahrenheit 451.

I'm sure that will never come up I know we have some fans here but not many. There are some anime films I like but never got much into any series.
