I think that the classic picture of Lon Chaney as Larry Talbot was enough to give me nightmares!

I rewatched The Wolf Man this morning as I couldn't sleep. I'm happy to report that I loved it this time.

I'm hoping to fit a rewatch in before Monday night
Since the topic got announced I've managed to watch Curse and Company of Wolves. Not overly impressed with the former. Loved the latter even if I'm not sure what the heck was going on.

Is the reason why you couldn't sleep because Dem crept into your house last night and held a gun to your head until you re-watched it and 'liked' it?

Glad you enjoyed it second time around though, Justin.

Your own personal mood really affects a film I think. I wasn't initially expecting Wolf Man to be so romantic but going into it the second time I had different expectations and the film came out on top.

Glad you enjoyed Company, J. At its core there is an allegory of a young girl's journey into womanhood, which riffs off of the Red Riding Hood tale - most of the men of course who are privy to her slide into sexual maturity being portrayed as salacious wolves.

I've also watched a couple of new to me wolfy films this past week thanks to the topic.

Firstly, I plugged another gap in my Naschy Waldemar Daninsky watch-list with The Fury of the Wolf Man (La furia del Hombre Lobo), which is certainly nowhere near as good as some of Naschy's more well known werewolf films but fairly entertaining nonetheless.

Then I checked out 1972 TV Movie Moon of the Wolf which deals with a Louisiana Sheriff who after trying to investigate a series of strange murders starts to come around to the conclusion that they may have been committed by a werewolf.

I think I got the general gist of it b-eye. The film is first and foremost a visual feast and being quite a late, slightly inebriated watch, Neil Jordans deliberately dreamlike structure worked a treat. Definitely deserving many a rewatch. And certainly getting on my top ten. Does anyone know if the blu is worth upgrading to?

This may change if i can manage to watch and rewatch a few titles this week. Put Curse of the Werewolf on last night but despite enjoying it i couldn't keep my eyes open.

Has anyone considered that Bram Stokers Dracula, the Coppola adaptation could in theory be included?
Updated list

An American Werewolf in London
Dog Soldiers
The Wolfman
The Wolfman (remake)
Underworld
Underworld Evolution
The Beast Within
Wolf
The Company of Wolves
Brotherhood of the Wolf

Only real change is The Company of Wolves has replaced Werewolf of London. I did manage to watch Hammers Curse of the Werewolf and WolfCop too but neither made the cut, though WolfCop was daft entertainment.
