I don't know if Dr Strangelove and The Great Dictator would count, being satirical films, or whether it would have to stick to films parodying other films/directors/genre tropes.

I think its initially thought of more as a siege or terrorist film. But it is a hiest film.

I think of it as an action film rather than a crime movie but, as it features a robbery and police, it easily fits the criteria for this week. I've no idea why I didn't even consider it for my list.
